Nigerian actress and fashion influencer Temi Otedola has opened up about discovering she was pregnant during her honeymoon with husband Mr Eazi.

The couple, who recently announced they are expecting their first child together, shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the 30-year-old actress revealed that she and her husband found out about the pregnancy while on a two-month honeymoon across Korea and Japan after their multiple wedding ceremonies in 2025.
According to Temi, the couple had three wedding celebrations last year, including a court wedding in Monaco, a traditional Nigerian wedding in Dubai, and a church wedding in Iceland before embarking on a digital detox honeymoon.
“After wrapping up three weddings in 2025 — a court wedding in Monaco, a traditional Nigerian wedding in Dubai, and a church wedding in Iceland — we wanted to end the year with a 2-month, digital-detoxed honeymoon, travelling across Korea and Japan. That’s when we found out!” she said.
Temi also shared how special it has been announcing the pregnancy to family members and close friends scattered across different parts of the world. Rather than making simple phone calls, the couple surprised loved ones with ultrasound printouts.

“It’s been the greatest news to share,” she said. “With our family and friends living across every continent, we shared with as many of them as we could in real life, giving them our ultrasound printouts as a surprise.”
She added that she was able to personally share the news with many of her closest friends during her 30th birthday celebration in Mallorca earlier this year.
Although the celebrity couple has decided to keep the baby’s gender private for now, Temi revealed they have already started discussing possible names for their unborn child.
“My husband and I send each other names all the time on WhatsApp,” she said. “We’ve also asked our parents to give us name ideas, as is Nigerian tradition.”
The actress also spoke candidly about her pregnancy journey so far, admitting that the first trimester came with fatigue and morning sickness, but things have improved significantly in recent months.
“For the first trimester, I was really feeling the fatigue and morning sickness — well, all day sickness — but as the months progressed, I’ve been so grateful to feel stronger and more energized,” she explained.

Temi further described pregnancy as a season that has helped her slow down and reflect more deeply on life.
“I love how pregnancy forces you to slow down. I’ve been gradually slowing down my routine, prioritizing my goals and looking inward,” she shared.
“It’s also a beautiful time to spend with loved ones and celebrate the coming of new life.”
